10 Things about me.

Journal Entry: Wed Jun 9, 2010, 10:45 AM
Tagged by :iconakayesia:

1. Post these rules.
2. Each tagged person must post 10 things about themselves on their journal.
3. At the end, you have to choose and tag 10 people and post their icons on the same journal.
4. Go to their pages and send a message saying you tagged them.
5. No tag-backs

About Me

1. I write.

2. I believe in the power of humanity.

3. I have a hat I stole from a guy I like; he never came to ask for it back and I'm still wearing it.

4. I am working on a draft of my novel right now; it's up to 106 pages, single-spaced, typed 12 pt font, Times New Roman in Microsoft Word.

5. I have four email addresses that I check with alarming frequency.

6. I've kissed more women than men.

7. I have a blog you should all check out:…

8. I don't believe in love, but I do believe in powerful connections.

9. I tend to overanalyze.

10. I'm doing this meme/tag thing because I'm bored out of my mind.

No one specifically.
If you feel like doing it, then do it, and link back here so people can see. If you want to. No compelling arguments either for or against, though if you're bored shitless, it's usually a good idea to do something mindless. Like this.

  • Listening to: Break Your Heart (Remix)
  • Reading: Paul Doherty's "The Gates of Hell"
  • Watching: The "Blow up the moon" blog on blogspot.
  • Eating: Air.
  • Drinking: Rainbows.

I've been run ragged, talked jagged, pieced together because the vase of my life looked better as a mosaic anyway. I'm no one you haven't seen before, but put together in novel ways.

I do nothing half hearted or part way. I'm the one still clinging to the mast long after the captain has abandoned ship.

I've recently published the prologue and the first chapter of the story I'm writing, The Eternal Nightmare. The main purpose of my story is for me to get better at writing, so I would love to get some feedback. If you have the time and wouldn't mind checking it out, I would really appreciate it!

Thanks for your time!

Depends what it's about. Give me a good reason to read it, and maybe I will.

It's about a guy who's abducted into a world that is ruled by the Darkened. He is the only person who remembers the world as it was before (the one we currently live in). Then, he sets on a quest to find his precious family, the people that were taken away from him.

Why should you read it? Because, one, you would be immersed into an outstanding world that will bemuse and inspire you, and two, because you will be able to help a fellow writer become better.

"Bemuse" means "to puzzle or bewilder (someone)." I'm not sure I particularly care to be willfully confused.

Also, in general, I'd suggest using a better hook for getting someone to read your writing than "It's about a guy who..." Hooks work best with main character names, and a presentation of the problem or major conflict. (ie, John Smith has been abducted by a race of humanoid beings called the Darkened. In order to escape/restore order/whatever he must embark on a perilous quest to find XXX.)

I'll see what I can do.
